A Bit About Us...
We began as a .com / Internet business for pedal cars in 1999 and continue
to operate this way. Our diverse selection has gone beyond mere pedal
cars; we enjoy aything pedal car and transportation related. We are well known, worldwide
for our custom items.
What got us started?
We began selling a few personal items on eBay. It was exciting receiving checks
and money orders in the post. I needed something to enable me to travel
to Canada and voila Attic Treasures was born.
Where did the name Attic Treasures come from?
Read above...just by selling "stuff" from our cupboards, boxes in
the attic, etc. We absolutely love going to auctions and were regulars at
several, alas no time at present but we'll get back into it.
Where have we shipped merchanidse?
WOW, we have shipped to every state in the country including HI and AK, even
to "Unalaska" twice, which is a remote island off the coast of AK,
check it out a map or globe. We have had a pedal car go to Canada's N.W.T., Newfoundland
and every province in between. We have also shipped pedal cars and other merchandise
to numerous countries worldwide, often using translator software programs
including: Australia, Canada (from east to west coast, including NWT), Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, England, Germany, Greece, Ireland,
Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands and UK.
What do we enjoy the most?
That's easy...the customs. They are more work than simply printing an
order from our WS, typing up a label and shipping, but they are fun. We get
just as excited as our customers and our painter, well he is a trip. The team..."Gator"
Mike Gaydoes our painter, and Gary Patrick our Professional Letterer are little
boys at hearts. Even Gator's grown sons Mikey ~ Flame Designer, Kevin ~ Special
Effects Graphics, Wes ~ Fax/Order Coordinator, Patrick and are more than willing
to help with handling, assembly and just seeing what is up next.
It goes hand in hand with our love for classic cars. In fact we have a little
Baby Blue Comet Pedal Car, Custom Car #74 found on page 2 of our WS, that
is painted to match our Baby Blue 1951 Mercury Meteor with blue scallops.
We get thumbs up every time she is out and hundreds of photos have been taken
of our little set up. Both cars have their own diner trays with realistic
food and the pedal car has its own sign mounted both sides on a pole and stuck
in a lawn mower tire that reads...
"Pedal Car Parking Only ~ All Others will be Pushed Away"
